Host Website From Home Using Abyss Web Server…!

Everyone likes to have website. In this tutorial we are going to see how to host website from home computer using Abyss web server.

Prerequisite:

Abyss Web Server Download
No-IP Download
Simple Html Website
Domain Name Using http://www.freedomain.co.nr/

After you get the prerequisites, do the following:

Download Abyss web server and install
Copy and paste your Html website in to the folder C:\Program Files\Abyss Web Server\htdocs (This should be the location where you installed the Abyss web server)
The html should be renames as index.html
Start the abyss web server

If you don’t have static ip, your ip will change daily , so in order to prevent this you can use no-ip software free edition. Register for free edition

Confirm registration by activating the activation mail
Download the application and install
Add host in their website for your stream as yourdomainname.redirectme.net . Your ip address will get automatically updated else update manually
Open NO-IP application in your pc and select the host you added in their website which appear in the list
Run the application always so only your site will be visible for others

Open your web browser. Type http://localhost in the address bar and click enter. Your website should open

Login to free domain in http://www.freedomain.co.nr/
Register your free domain and redirect it to yourdomainname.redirectme.net (That is the host you register for your website in the no-ip.
Now anyone can access your website though you free domain registered with http://www.freedomain.co.nr/

Note: If your site is not visible disable your windows firewall and check again.
